Mortgage Broker SEO
This Australian mortgage broker didn’t have a dedicated SEO strategy. As a result, they were getting very few leads from their website.
Our Tactics:
- Improve the website’s E-E-A-T
- Improve the User Interface
- Conduct extensive On-Page SEO
- Create new content to establish Topical Authority
- Increase domain authority through Digital PR-style Link Building

The Challenge
Key Problems
The client didn’t have a lot of SEO content, and as a result they were getting very few leads from Google.
Rising competition in the industry was further exacerbating this issue, and existing competitors had powerful websites ranking for most of the commercial keywords in the niche.
On top of that, they also had some E-E-A-T issues which were hurting their authority in the eyes of Google

Our Approach
Step 1: Website Audit and Niche Research
The competitive landscape for mortgage-related keywords is often dominated by large comparison websites and established financial institutions, making it hard for smaller brokers to gain traction.
First, we performed a thorough audit of our client’s website, and identified several key issues which meant that Google didn’t view their website as an authority – even though their company had been around for 25 years.
Then, we conducted some deep niche research and identified some great opportunities our client could take advantage of.
Step 2: Crafting a Bespoke SEO Strategy
We created a clear plan of action for our client, prioritizing work based on how urgent and impactful each action would be.
In-depth keyword research: We conducted a Content Gap Analysis with their competitors to see where their content was lacking, as well as finding some low-hanging fruit we could easily rank for and monetize.
Step 3: Implementing RapidSEO Sprints
Technical SEO overhaul: We addressed underlying technical issues which hindered the website’s performance and crawlability. This involved optimizing the sitemap, resolving duplicate content issues, and implementing 301 redirects for broken pages to ensure the website was in Google’s good books.
Establishing authority (E-E-A-T): We enhanced the website’s E-E-A-T score by creating a detailed Terms of Service, adding structured data markup for author bios and the Contact Page, and ensuring that there was consistent contact info everywhere on the site
Improving Core Web Vitals: We enhanced the website’s loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability to improve our Core Web Vitals scores. This improved both user experience and rankings
Conversion-focused Content Strategy: We implemented a Content Strategy focused on supporting content around their main loan products, targeting commercial and transactional keywords. Much of the content we wrote is now ranking for lucrative keywords, and it improved the rankings of their existing product pages
HARO-style Link Building to raise Domain Authority: We connected with journalists, providing expert insights on mortgage- and finance-related topics to secure valuable backlinks from authoritative websites.
