Computer Tech SEO
This Cairns based computer repair and POS system expert was looking for more traffic to their site to bolster local awareness and leads. They were getting mostly walk-ins and most people only thought they repaired computers, they had no idea they can fit servers, install POS system for restaurants and retail, provide online support and a whole lot more.
Our Tactics
- Comprehensive technical SEO audit & fixes.
- Identify locally searched keywords which match their services.
- Create services pages which match those services.
- Create supporting content in the form of blog posts to help with topical authority.
- Built authority links month over month until the began to rank on page one.

The Challenge
Even though Cairns is relatively small, the competition is stiff with several franchiese
Key Problems
1. We were up against a national directory that seems to rank for everything computer-based in Cairns, as well as a franchise and a well-known local shop with lots of organic traffic.
2. With many individual services available, we had to prioritize the top 8 to target well. This allowed us to focus our efforts on high-value services.

Our Approach
1. High-value Keywords
Value and Volume
There are such a large number of keywords we would have targeted, but some with little to no volume or others meant a lot of work for my client with little pay-off.
Lazer focus
Once we identified the types of customers that would have the biggest impact on results, we created highly targeted service pages to rank for those keywords.
2. Technical SEO
Audit
The technical audits at the start of a campaign are key to ensuring the website is capable of indexing pages, being crawled, and essentially ranking for target keywords.
This is a slow process requiring many small technical fixes, but it pays dividends as the SEO campaign progresses.
We actually found a lot of quick wins in the form of broken backlinks to the website. Fixing this caused a quick jump in rankings.
3. Content Sprint
Topical Authority
Once we had our target services, we initially created all eight service pages, followed by supporting content. This is designed to provide additional information about the services to customers and shows Google you are an authority on a particular subject.
These pages are key for generating valuable backlinks to the website, of which the power is passed to service pages via internal linking.
The Result
Summary
In just 5 months, we were able to take the website from 57 monthly visits to over 1,800 visits each month. This is a lot of mid- and bottom-funnel traffic that converts day in and day out.
My client has now hired an off-sider to handle the day-to-day repairs, which gives him time to expand into other areas like tech support and corporate fit-outs.

Competitors Rank
Above You
understand what’s holding it back.
What you’ll know after the review
- Whether your site can realistically compete in organic search
- What’s currently limiting growth (authority, coverage, trust, or structure)
- How long SEO would likely take to show meaningful results
- What level of investment is typically required to compete
- Whether SEO is the right growth strategy for your business
What we assess
- Authority strength relative to competitors Google already ranks
- Topical coverage depth across commercially important topics
- EEAT and trust signals influencing search confidence
- Search visibility constraints affecting scale and consistency
We also apply an internal Search Confidence Rating to benchmark your site against competitors.
What this is not
- A full SEO audit or implementation plan
- A checklist-style technical report
- A sales call in disguise
